Thank you all for the replies! If the file were broken, the uninstalling/reinstalling and verifying game cache would have solved the issue. So, I don't think that is the reason.I have a friend who's game works, and times I have tried there was no maintenance, so I know maintenance is not the issue.I have downloaded the official launcher.it is during the launcher/updater that I receive the boot error. I still haven't gotten past the error messages to the actual game. What kills me is I bet it is some little simple thing but I haven't figured out yet.sigh.
I hope I can evetually play the game I bought.:/Does anyone have any other suggestions? If I hear back from Steam or Square Enix or if I figure it out, I will post to help others who may have this issue.
